It is extremely busy these days with Developer Days next week and me trying to help everybody to get prepared (often forgetting that I myself have still a lot of prep to do :-)). A number of things have been published the last 2 days that I should have mentioned. Just two that I like a lot:

  • Joris has good news for all of us. SharePoint Portal Server is really doing great. About 30 million licencees. Wow... that is a lot of SharePoint Portals in the world. Guess how many WSS sites are set up?
  • Tariq has created a CAML Checker. Cool stuff but wait a couple of extra days... Our CAML girl has prepared this awesome CAML tool we are going to put online next week. Just for free. And even more than this. Jan has created a cool RSS/SharePoint generator (also for free). And yes we have more to come. We have invested a lot of time to create a nice little addin for Outlook. It allows you to syncronize SharePoint lists with your folders in Outlook. A trial version will be available online next week.

Besides that, there is Gerd Debruycker (Microsoft Belgium), who has been supporting our Belgium developers community the last couple of years and has moved one step higher within the Microsoft world. He has done a terrific job and I wish him the best doing the same job at EMEA level. This said, I wish Tom Mertens the same because he officially now takes over Gerd's job at Microsoft Belgium. Good luck to both of you!
