Wow!!! Received a lot of emails asking for the demo code and the stuff we promised to put online. Just to make things clear (and realistic for us :-)), here is the schedule:
- Next week we will have the RSS Feed Generator for download. It is free for non-commercial uses. If you want to use it on a commercial basis, send me an email right now.
- The demos on Portal Search and Custom Notification Channels will be put online this weekend. I will make them available via my blog.
- I got a lot of questions regarding the WorkFlow Lite created by Jan. We have to discuss that internally how we can make that one available for 'commercial uses' (I know it sounds awful, but people were asking me about support options, new versions and so on). It is on the agenda.
- The CAML Builder I demonstrated will be available online for free in 2 weeks
- Hot!Hot!Hot! The Content SharePoint Application Block!! We did not expect this interest. Again, we have to discuss it internally how we are going to bring this to you. But know that I am supporting the scenario to simply have it available as a free download for you all to use it.
- SmartPart is of course no problem. Got some questions regarding the commercial use of it. Sounds boring, but we have to see where we are going with it.
- One thing I did not demonstrated was the Outlook 2 Sharepoint Synchronizing tool. It is an add-in for Outlook allowing us to synchronize an Outlook folder with a SharePoint list. We are finishing the last details and will get it online as a trial version very soon.
- ... and yes.. we have dozens of more little projects we are working on. And no, we are not going to forget the community. We will share as much as possible :-)
And good news from Redmond. They have been presenting some stuff about the SmartPart on the Office Developer Conference!
