I have received the following request from Microsoft Belux:
As discussed this morning, I would be very grateful if you could launch a request for support/information to the broad .NET developer community in the framework of the Simon & Odil project. Simon & Odil (www.simonodil.com) is a secured information and communication platform for children with long-term illnesses.
It is the aim of the project to provide children who suffer from cancer or viral infections like AIDS and who are often hospitalized for long periods, with an opportunity to get in touch with other children in the same situation through an online, secured communication & information platform. The Simon & Odil platform will interconnect several Belgian hospitals and will be accessible to all hospitalized children and their parents.
Along with our technology partner Amplexor, we are developing this secured platform using Sharepoint Portal. Today the secured information & communication platform is almost ready for deployment in the different hospitals.
However, there is still 1 component missing: a chat functionality built into the sharepoint portal.
We would be looking for the support of our broad .NET developer community to collect ideas, insights and - why not – to identify available chat components built on the .NET Platform.
Could you launch such a request for support and information?
We are looking for:
- Already available chat components built on the .NET Platform
- Technical information about the integration of these chat components in applications like Sharepoint Portal
- Creative suggestions on how chat functionalities can be easily built into secured information and communication platforms
Anybody ideas on this?
