People are brainstorming on how we can make the forthcoming geek party really geek. So here are already a couple of ideas that have been submitted. Some of them are really good.

  1. Everybody wears a T-Shirt 'self-made' with some geeky stuff on it.
  2. Or we make T-shirts people have to wear - 'Proud to be geek'
  3. At the entrance, people have to select an M&M from a box. There are two boxes, one with red M&Ms and one with blue M&Ms... the one taking the blue is thrown out :-) (nice one!)
  4. We are at this moment pursueing the idea of having the party without a DJ. A music server will provide via a Web service a playlist and people (if they have their geeky stuff with them) will be able to select the songs they want to hear. The 'Geek Party Server 1.0' will then play the music. And... don't worry, we will have a CD version for every MP3 we are going to play :-)
  5. People are able to submit their photo to the Geek Party Server and out of the submitted photo's, mister and misses Geek will be selected. Actually, people will be able to vote on it.
  6. A white rabbit will welcome you ('Follow the white rabbit'). We still have a big discussion whether the rabbit will be alive or not.
  7. We play only 'Geek-Music'. Big discussion here what you mean with geek music. Suggestion was only music where some reference to IT is made. This is going to be hard I guess, but we will try.

Normally tomorrow, we have a decision on the place to be and when we will expect you! Don't hesitate to submit your contributions! We want to make this the geek event of the year :-)
