Morning sessions of the VSTO 2005 pre-conference were excellent, afternoon sessions were very weak, both in presentation as in content. I am a bit dissappointed in the way the guys presented their material. No real excitement, often very chaotic in their presentation and demos. Such a shame because it is such a nice technology. One thing that I wrote down is the saying that there will be an upgrade wizard for your VSTO 2003 code to VSTO 2005. That is good to hear for all of you who have invested a lot in VSTO 2003. I heard that Ted has done a great job in the ASP.NET 2.0 pre-conf sessions. Good for him!
In the evening I had dinner with Fitz, Ted, Mike Ammerlaan and a number of other guys from the SharePoint team at an Italian restaurant on Sunset Blvd. After that, some great alternative bands at the Viper Room. A legendary place on Sunset.
By the way, Fitz is expecting some announcement the coming days. Read Jan's (who has by the way a nice picture of Vista Street) and my blog tomorrow and you'll understand what Fitz is hiding :-)
By the way, who says that Mr.SmartPart does not drink!
