Jeff Teper (yep the guy from Contoso :)) has a great posting on the SharePoint Team blog about the atonomy of the pages in the forthcoming Office SharePoint Server 2007. It very well explains how CMS and SPS are coming together in one infrastructure being both of them now good citizens of Windows SharePoint Services v3.
