"The software industry has been struggling with how to create and release software that is more security-enhanced and reliable. The Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) provides a methodology that works; it is a critical way to help reduce the number of security defects in code at every stage of the development process, from design to release. When compared to software that has not been subject to the SDL, software that has undergone the SDL has experienced a significantly reduced rate of external discovery of security vulnerabilities. During this presentation Wim Verhaeghen will introduce you in the process of developing software that needs to withstand malicious attack."

"The Guidance Automation Toolkit provides a means for a solution architect or lead developer to deploy consumable guidance to developers.

If you've ever published a 40-page document full of guidelines, do's and don'ts on how to structure solutions and projects in your company and what the namespaces and class names should be, if the developers need to be able to start new projects quickly, if you have a need for code generation, or all of the above - this toolkit is for you. Microsoft is itself using this technology to publish their Software Factories, like the Web Service Software Factory, so that says something about the quality and future of this fine piece of software.

In this presentation, Jelle will show you how this works and how to build your own automated guidance so you too can benefit from its huge number of features."

Next VISUG event, now on Team System

<trackback:ping>http://blog.u2u.info/DottextWeb/peter/services/trackbacks/23038.aspx</trackback:ping>

Friday 31 juni and Saterday 1 july Steven Wilssens, Team System MVP, and president of VISUG organises a Visual Studio Team System event.
